The purpose of this album is to depict recent societal issues existing in Cameroon and express how I feel about the way these issues are adressed by the people experiencing them, around me.

Horrible things are happening but somehow we manage to dance around these issues, make jokes about them on the internet and just casually move on from the most painful experiences. In the album, this is represented in the way I put together danceable music with quite dark topics.

In this album, I acknowledge the fact that this reaction to what is now a constant flow of traumatic events, is merely a coping mechanism to prevent some of us to turn into the worst versions of ourselves and possibly act accordingly.

Most people back here are just trying to survive to be able to keep providing for themselves and their families, who most of the time, don't have any other choice nor can they voice their disagreement with some of the things happening (out of fear of being hurt by whomever).

I am one of them. The feeling of fear and helplessness drove me to compose this piece, in an attempt to at least get my frustration out and eventually start a new conversation on how to address these issues for change.

Nevertheless, the album ends with a feel of hope for things to get better eventually.

This album was a collaboration between myself and the people around me. I wanted to give a subtle voice to the people that somehow inspired this album, as opposed to speaking on their behalf. The stories are told by me through the music, but not all the stories are mine.

I describe this album as contemporary dance music.
